“Embark on a Journey to Uncover Great Reads”

James M. Fisher began The Seaboard Review (TSR) after spending ten years creating The Miramichi Reader (TMR), a successful Canadian book review site.

It was so successful that James could no longer manage it on his own, so he handed it over to a new crew.

Still wanting to promote good books, James created TSR on the Substack platform and was fully prepared to carry on as a “solo” act. However, several contributors from TMR decided to leave there for various reasons and come over to TSR. We are a small team of dedicated reviewers who love to read and review books, especially those from independent, small-press publishers.

Please consider subscribing to TSR!

Why subscribe to TSR?

We’ll never have a paywall, so subscribing will always be free. All subscribers get the added benefit of advance notice (via weekly email) of all new posts.1

Through a paid subscription, we offer you the opportunity to financially support our work of promoting Canadian authors and small, independent presses. This encourages us to strive even harder to find books of interest to our readers. Thank you for supporting The Seaboard Review!2
