Steve Faulkner is a hiker, skier, mountain biker and photographer who lived and worked in Newfoundland and Labrador for more than ten years. Faulkner leaped at the opportunity to move back to the Newfoundland and Labrador as an RCMP officer; he was fortunate to have been posted in the east, west, and central regions of the province and in the Big Land, during which he sought out many of its spectacular waterfalls.
The varied and complex geography in Waterfalls of Newfoundland and Labrador is divided into six easy-to-read geographic areas: Avalon Peninsula, Burin and Bonavista Peninsulas, Central Newfoundland, Western Newfoundland, Great Northern Peninsula, and Labrador to bring you hundred stunning waterfalls.
This rich and glossy guide is full of breathtaking waterfalls photos. All hundred waterfalls in this guide include useful information about access points, difficulty and distance of the hike from the trailhead, cell phone service and much more.
With all Faulkner gorgeous colour photographs, full-colour maps, and bonus features this guide is a must have for anyone who wants an adventure in their own backyard. I’ve visited two of these waterfalls so far and the guide was very helpful for even a beginner adventurous, like myself. Do yourself a favour and pick up a copy today.
